Yasir Hussain Voices Displeasure Regarding Producers & Current Actors

Yasir Hussain, a versatile figure in Pakistani entertainment, has made his mark as a host, actor, comedian, and director. Rising to prominence with his debut feature film “Karachi Say Lahore” and its sequel “Lahore Say Aagay,” he has also left his imprint on television with notable projects like “Shadi Mubarak” and “Baaghi.” Venturing into direction, Hussain has showcased his creative vision with projects like “Koel” and “Aik Thi Laila.”

In a recent appearance on Iffat Omar’s show, Yasir Hussain candidly expressed his views on the current state of Pakistani television. Reflecting on the decline in quality acting, he lamented, “I rarely get to see good acting on Pakistani television plays.” He reminisced about the golden era of Pakistani dramas, highlighting the caliber of actors like Shehnaz Sheikh, Javaid Sheikh, and Saleem Nasir.

Regarding the offers he receives for roles, Yasir Hussain revealed, “I get less roles, I get very few offers because I refuse a lot.” He emphasized his selective approach to roles and his preference for theater and film. Despite this, he remains open to collaborations with friends and opportunities that meet his standards.
