Ushna Shah, a well-known Pakistani actress, thinks “absolute freedom instead of a temporary ceasefire” should be the answer to the long-running conflict between Palestinians and Israelis.

Pakistanis have taken to social media to express their support for their Muslim brothers and sisters and have come together to call for an end to violence on all sides. Ushna Shah took part in a demonstration yesterday in Karachi organized by Pakistan’s civil society to show support for the Palestinians.

The Habs star has been outspoken about the subject and has spoken her fair share of thoughts on social media.

Shah posted a video of herself discussing the ongoing conflict on platform X, educating the audience with statistics and analogies. ““Summing it up at the civil society March yesterday. The organisers did a fantastic job & people from all walks of life came out. We need to keep this going!”

Shah made a point of saying, “Call it a genocide, apartheid, or murder.” Then she decried how the “super powers” of the world are supporting this battle and bemoaned how Muslim nations are silent.

“We, the people, must come to the streets and demand that the government publicly denounce the atrocities being committed [against Palestinians] by Israeli soldiers.”

Shah emphasized, “We need to protest until Palestine is free, and I am talking about total freedom, not a temporary cease-fire.”

“It is up to us—the people—to come to the streets and demand that the government publicly denounce the crimes perpetrated [by Israeli forces] against Palestinians.

“We need to protest until Palestine is free, and I’m not talking about a temporary ceasefire, I’m talking about absolute freedom,” Shah said.

She reflected on how Palestine is going through the same traumatic colonization that the Subcontinent once went through. “This is the same Holocaust that the Jews were subjected to,” she said, adding that this is “not a Jewish versus Muslim fight” rather it is “Zionist propaganda or regime” that is “putting Palestinians through ethnic cleansing.”

“It is important for everyone to speak up,” Shah said in her conclusion.

Shah previously made a remark on platform X that said, Previously on the platform X, Shah shared a statement that read, “So what if I never get to audition for that Hollywood special everyone thinks they have a shot at, so what if I never again get a commercial for a multi-national or become the face of the big beauty-brand. When my descendants look back at this years from now, they’ll find me on the right side of history.
