In a recent podcast interview with Ahmed Ali Butt, Pakistani actress Saheefa Jabbar Khattak bravely shared her battle with mental health issues. She recounted a harrowing experience during a trip to Canada, where she felt overwhelmed by her condition, stating, “Sometimes, things deteriorate to the extent that even healing takes time to reach you.” She candidly revealed her reliance on medication, admitting, “I was 30 pills down…anti-depressants and muscle relaxants, without prescription.”

Reflecting on a particularly dark moment, Saheefa Jabbar Khattak recounted reaching out to her mother in desperation, expressing, “I called her at 06:00 am…if she doesn’t want her daughter to jump from the sixth floor of the building she was living in ‘because it is really bad’.” Her mother’s swift action, however, provided a lifeline in her darkest hour.

In a poignant moment, Saheefa disclosed her reluctance to work with writer and actor Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, fearing mistreatment. However, she reconsidered after Ahmed Ali Butt highlighted Rehman’s positive attributes.
