Kenan Thompson Shares Thoughts on Controversial Docuseries ‘Quiet on Set’

In a recent appearance on the Tamron Hall Show, Kenan Thompson, the 45-year-old All That alum, shared his thoughts on the contentious documentary series “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” The series delves into unsettling revelations about some of the most iconic children’s shows from the late 1990s and early 2000s.

“It’s tough for me because I can’t really speak on things that I’ve never witnessed,” Thompson confessed, acknowledging his limited experience with producer Dan Schneider and the timing of the accusations, which emerged after his tenure at Nickelodeon.

“Because all these things happened after I left, basically, and Dan wasn’t really on Kenan and Kel like that,” he clarified. “So I wasn’t really aware of a lot of it, but my heart goes out to anybody that’s been victimized or their families.”

Kenan Thompson recognized the importance of the documentary series in shedding light on alleged abuse, stating, “I think it’s a good thing that the doc is out and is putting things on display that need to be — stories that need to be told for accountability sake.”

However, Kenan Thompson admitted that it’s challenging to reconcile the revelations with his fond memories of working on these shows. “To hear that they’ve gone through terrible things like that, it’s just, it’s really tough,” Thompson expressed.

“Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” is currently available for streaming on Max, providing viewers with a sobering look into the darker aspects of the entertainment industry aimed at children.
