Javed Sheikh under scrutiny in Rs5 million investment scam
11th June, 2024In a significant legal development, reports suggest that the Rawat Police have registered a fraud case against renowned film star Javed Sheikh and five others under Section 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The charges stem from allegations that the accused deceived Amjad Mahmood and his wife, Iram Amjad, into investing Rs5 million with promises of lucrative returns. The couple, who signed an agreement on official stamp papers, claimed to have received no returns on their investment and faced threats when they sought refunds. Acting on directives from the Additional District and Sessions Judge, the police have summoned all the accused for investigation.
On the work front, Javed Sheikh was last seen in the Pakistani film “Money Back Guarantee.” Javed Sheikh previously appeared in an interview where he discussed his marriage to Salma Agha and losing some Indian films.
