Indian actress Noor Malabika Das ends her life by suicide
11th June, 2024Indian film and television actress Noor Malabika Das has tragically passed away by suicide, as confirmed by authorities who discovered her body in her apartment.
Noor Malabika Das, known for her role alongside Bollywood star Kajol in the Disney+ Hotstar series ‘The Trial,’ was found deceased in her residence in Lokhandwala, Mumbai. She was 32 years old at the time of her death.
Her body was found in a decomposed state in her apartment in Andheri, Oshiwara, following reports from neighbors about a foul odor emanating from the premises. It is suspected that she took her own life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police conducted a panchnama and transported Das’s body to Siddharth Hospital in Goregaon for a postmortem examination. They also seized medications, her mobile phone, and a diary during their investigation.
Due to her family’s absence, as they had returned to their hometown in Assam two weeks earlier and were unreachable, the police, with the assistance of a non-governmental organization, conducted the last rites for Das.
Originally from Assam, Das had appeared in various films and television series throughout her career, including ‘Siskiyaan,’ ‘Walkaman,’ ‘Teekhi Chatni,’ ‘Jaghanya Upay,’ and most recently, ‘The Trial.’
