Behroze Sabzwari, Nadia Afgan Playfully Mock New Actors

Veteran Pakistani actors Behroze Sabzwari and Nadia Afgan, known for their decades-long contributions to the entertainment industry, recently appeared on a show hosted by Ramiz Raja. During the show, they shed light on the prevailing unprofessionalism among new actors in Pakistan.

Behroze Sabzwari, renowned for his iconic roles in classics like ‘Khuda Ki Basti’ and ‘Tanhayan,’ expressed his concerns about the standards in the industry. He remarked, “Nothing in Pakistan meets a good standard, so how can the actors be up to par? Basic ethics come from education, and there is a lack of education everywhere.”

Nadia Afgan, acclaimed for her memorable performance in the sitcom ‘Shashlik’ and recent success in ‘Suno Chanda,’ emphasized the importance of discipline and commitment. She stated, “I believe everything needs discipline, drill, and commitment. You need to follow the process; practice makes one perfect. Actors today seem clueless about their lines and are unwilling to do rehearsals. They even ask about their lines from us.”

Behroze Sabzwari further highlighted the lack of authenticity in emotional scenes, stating, “In the most intense death scenes of fathers, the girls cry with perfectly set hair and full makeup on their faces.”

Their insightful discussion underscores the need for professionalism and dedication in the Pakistani entertainment industry, urging actors to prioritize their craft and uphold ethical standards.
